Donna Laura (Bramosia) was founded by Lia Tolaini Banville back in 2004. The name pays homage to Lia’s Lucca-based aunt Laura, who ignited a passion for Italian music, art, and history in Lia at a young age. The estate comprises 12 hectares and is rooted in the village of Castelnuovo Berardenga. Donna Laura’s vines are planted predominantly to Sangiovese and Merlot, which are used to create the backbone of the winery’s accessible, fruit-driven, and supple expressions of Chianti Classico. Donna Laura currently produces four wines: an IGT Rosato made entirely from Sangiovese, an IGT Rosso, a Chianti Classico (called Bramosia), and a Chianti Riserva (called Alteo).
